Journal Club: Exploring the Evidence for Lifestyle Medicine
How can we turn recent research into useful conversations with patients and clients?
For this month’s LifeMed Knowledge, join us for a special journal club. We will take a deep dive into three recent papers, discussing their findings and their relevance to Lifestyle Medicine.
Our discussion will explore nutrition, social connection and lifestyle support in the context of ultra-processed foods, GLP-1 medications for obesity and men’s health and wellbeing.
We will examine each paper in turn, introducing its main findings before opening up a discussion about the strengths and limitations of the evidence and what it might mean for our work with patients and clients. We will finish by drawing together practical implications and questions for further reflection.
This session will be particularly relevant to anyone completing BSLM’s 2026 Maintenance of Certification programme for their Lifestyle Medicine Core Accreditation or Diploma. It is also for healthcare professionals and coaches who want to keep their knowledge up to date, develop confidence in interpreting evidence and consider how research can inform everyday practice.
Register for the live session to receive the three papers to read ahead of the journal club.
Bring your questions and perspectives, join the discussion or simply come along to listen and learn.
